Capital Land Companies is an authorized installer of Imagine Pools and Thursday Pools — the two most respected fiberglass pool brands in the Northeast. Our sister company Capital Land Pools handles the pool-specific portion of every project; the deck, hardscape, and landscape integration runs through Capital Land Companies. Same owner, same crew, same standard.
Fiberglass pools are pre-formed factory-built shells delivered to your home and craned into a properly excavated and prepped hole. Installation start to swimming is typically 1–3 weeks (compared with 8–12 weeks for gunite or concrete pools), with no curing time, no rough surface, and decades of low-maintenance use.
Why Fiberglass
Days, not weeks
The shell arrives on a truck and is set the same day it's delivered. Plumbing and electrical are connected within the week. Deck pour and equipment hookup follow. Most clients are swimming within 2–3 weeks of excavation, depending on weather and deck complexity.
Smooth gel-coat interior
Fiberglass shells have a factory-applied gel-coat surface that's smooth to the touch — no rough plaster to scrape feet, no liner to replace every 7–10 years. The gel-coat lasts 25+ years with proper water chemistry.
Energy efficient
Fiberglass is a natural insulator. Heat retention is significantly better than concrete pools, which translates to lower heating costs and a longer swim season — typically May through September in the Capital Region with a heat pump or gas heater.
Built-in features
Tanning ledges, swim-out steps, in-pool benches, integrated spa shelves, and LED lighting niches are molded into the shell at the factory. Nothing's added on later.

Complete fiberglass pool packages in the Capital Region typically start around $90,000–$120,000 for the pool, deck, equipment, and full installation. That includes excavation, the pool shell, plumbing, electrical, equipment pad, paver or stamped-concrete deck, coping, and final landscape detail. Larger pools, premium deck materials, automated covers, heaters, and integrated spas add to the total.
