Outdoor Kitchens & Fire Pits Built Into The Patio

An outdoor kitchen is not a grill on a deck. It's a designed space — counters at the right height, prep zones flanking the grill, refrigeration where you need it, a structure that fits the patio architecture. A fire pit isn't just a hole in the ground; it's a focal point that defines a seating zone and pulls people outside through October.

We design and build outdoor kitchens, gas fire pits, fire tables, and built-in outdoor fireplaces as integrated parts of the patio — not bolted on as an afterthought. The kitchen footprint is in the original hardscape plan. The fire pit gas line is run before the pavers are laid. The seating wall is part of the same wall system as the rest of the hardscape.

What We Build

Stone-veneer outdoor kitchens

Built-in grill (we work with Lynx, Blaze, Wolf, Coyote, and DCS), stone-veneer counters with granite or Dekton tops, integrated refrigerator and ice bin, optional pizza oven, side burner, and warming drawer.

Gas fire pits & fire tables

Plumbed natural gas or propane, electronic ignition, ceramic fire rock or fire glass, optional automated control. Round, square, or rectangular profile to fit the seating zone.

Wood-burning fire pits

Stone or brick fire pit, ash collection, optional cooking grate. Lower-maintenance than gas and the classic backyard fire experience.

Outdoor fireplaces

Full-height stone-veneer fireplaces with chimney, optional TV mounting, wood storage, and integrated seating walls. The defining feature of a four-season outdoor room.

Pricing

Outdoor kitchen and fire feature budgets vary widely depending on appliance grade and footprint:

  • Basic gas fire pit (32" square, gas line, electronic ignition, fire glass) — $3,500–$6,500 installed
  • Stone-veneer wood-burning fire pit with seating wall — $6,000–$12,000
  • L-shape outdoor kitchen with built-in grill, side burner, refrigerator, and granite counters — $25,000–$45,000
  • Full outdoor kitchen + fire pit + seating wall integration — $40,000–$80,000+

Most clients pair these with a paver or stamped-concrete patio expansion. We'll quote everything as one integrated project.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does an outdoor kitchen cost in Albany NY?

L-shape outdoor kitchens with built-in grill, side burner, refrigerator, and granite counters typically run $25,000–$45,000 installed. Smaller grill-island setups start around $12,000.

Can I add a gas line to my existing patio for a fire pit?

Yes. We can trench a gas line under existing hardscape (lifting and re-laying pavers along the route), or run it from a propane tank at the perimeter. Quote includes plumbing inspection.

What's the best grill brand for an outdoor kitchen?

We work with Lynx, Blaze, Wolf, Coyote, and DCS most often. Lynx and Wolf are premium-tier with the best fit-and-finish. Blaze and Coyote offer strong performance at mid-tier price points. We'll match the grill to your cooking style and budget during design.

Are gas fire pits safe near a wood deck?

Yes, with proper clearance and a non-combustible base. We typically install gas fire pits on stamped concrete or paver surfaces with 36+ inches of clearance to any combustible structure.

Can the outdoor kitchen be used in winter?

Yes — the appliances are designed for year-round outdoor use, and we install freeze-protection for water lines where present. Many of our clients use their outdoor kitchen and fire pit into November and December.
